Isleton is nestled along the banks of the Sacramento River and is the only one of the "river towns" that doesn't roll up its sidewalks at dusk. After 8:00 pm on a Friday or Saturday night, it's difficult to find a parking place!
Isleton is located in the hub of Northern California. It is approximately 20 miles West of Lodi, 25 miles West of Stockton, 45 miles South and West of Sacramento, 35 miles East of Fairfield, and 65 miles East and North of San Francisco.
Entering Isleton is similar to stepping through a magic doorway into the peaceful life of past years. The last population count was 923 persons. Practically everyone walks to the Post Office to pick up the mail, which is somewhat of a social experience.
A major advantage to living in Isleton is security and a very low crime rate. No bars on doors or windows are present. Instead, people stroll about town on a walm, balmy evening or sit on their front porch and "people watch".
Isleton is a great place to live, retire, and/or raise a family!
